Hot air balloon at sunrise
A balloon flight over the plain north of Marrakech lifts off at first light and lasts about an hour in the air, with roughly four hours door to door. From €200 per person including hotel pickup at around 05:30 and breakfast in a Berber tent after landing.
How the morning works
- 05:30 — pickup at your hotel; it is dark and cold, bring a layer
- 06:30 — inflation and briefing at the launch field
- 07:00 — about an hour in the air over the palm groves, with the Atlas on the horizon
- 08:15 — landing, then breakfast in a tent and the drive back
The honest caveat
Balloon flights are weather-dependent and cancellations happen — wind at dawn is the usual reason. If it is cancelled you are rebooked or refunded in full. Do not book it for your last morning before a flight home.
