Camel ride, lunch and pool day in the Agafay
This is the daytime version of the Agafay: a camel ride in the morning, lunch at a desert camp, then the afternoon by the pool with the Atlas in front of you. It costs from €50 per person, leaves at 09:00 and takes about six hours. It is the right choice in summer, and the right choice with children.
The day
- 09:00 — pickup at your hotel or riad.
- 10:00 — arrival at the camp, mint tea, then the camel ride while it is still cool.
- 12:30 — lunch at the camp: Moroccan salads, grill or tagine, fruit.
- 13:30 — the pool, sun loungers, and the Atlas on the horizon.
- 15:00 — drive back.
Why this one in summer
From June to August the plateau is 40 °C or more in the middle of the day and there is no shade. The evening slots solve this by starting late; this package solves it differently, by putting you in water for the hottest part of the afternoon.
It is also the easiest option with young children — a pool turns a long afternoon into the part of the day they remember.

Is the pool heated, and is it open all year?
Pools in the Agafay are unheated and are genuinely enjoyable roughly from April to October. In winter this package still works for the ride and lunch, but nobody swims.

It is the best of our Agafay options for families: a short camel ride, a proper lunch, a pool, and back in Marrakech by mid-afternoon.
