Quad biking in the Agafay
Quad biking in the Agafay costs from €30 for one hour and from €50 for two, including a helmet, a briefing, a guide and hotel pickup. No licence is required but you must be 16 or over to drive. One hour is enough for most people; two hours gets you further out onto the empty plateau, away from the camps.
One hour or two?
One hour covers the tracks nearest the camps — enough to get the feel of it, get dusty, and see the plateau. It is the right choice if you are combining it with a camel ride and dinner the same evening.
Two hours is worth it if quad biking is the reason you came. You get past the busy zone into genuinely empty terrain, with a longer stop for photographs.

Safety and requirements
- Minimum age 16 to drive. Under 16 can usually ride as a passenger with a guide — ask us.
- No licence needed. The quads are automatic: throttle, brake, and that is it.
- Not suitable if you are pregnant or have recent back, neck or shoulder injuries.
- Wear long trousers and closed shoes, and tie back loose scarves and long hair.
